It is important that there is a Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E), because this helps employers to estimate which employees are at risk and under what circumstances. If this evaluation shows that safety glasses are necessary to reduce the risks for an employee, the employer is obliged to reimburse them, provided that the glasses meet the safety standard EN- 166:2001 complies.
