In the digital age, many of us spend hours staring at the screen of a computer, tablet or smartphone. This can take a toll on our eyes and our overall well-being. The test below is designed to assess whether display glasses or computer glasses can help you reduce visual fatigue and increase your comfort while working behind screens.
Screen glasses are recommended if you regularly work at a computer for more than two hours a day, experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, eye problems, or complaints in your arms, neck, and shoulders. These symptoms may indicate overexertion due to computer screen work. In the Netherlands, employers are required to provide a healthy and safe work environment, which includes offering employees an eye exam and, if necessary, providing computer screen glasses. These glasses have specially ground lenses that make looking at the screen more comfortable and make reading documents easier.
We will ask a few quick questions about your screen habits and any symptoms you are experiencing. At the end, you will receive a personalized recommendation on what screen glasses are right for you. This test is for informational purposes and does not replace a professional medical diagnosis.
In the Netherlands, the Occupational Health and Safety Act requires employers to ensure a healthy and safe working environment, including for monitor work. The Working Conditions Decree requires them to offer employees an eye examination and, if necessary, monitor glasses, making them an essential part of the working conditions.
