‍nexeye introduces Ciircle -a circular eyewear collection featuring frames made from old eyewear and residual waste left over from the production of new frames. The collection is part of nexeye's ambition to make its operation more sustainable. Ciircle's eyewear collection is modern, bold, luxurious and features sophisticated details. Designed for anyone who dares to make a statement with glasses. And at the same time the perfect choice for the environmentally conscious consumer. The complete Ciircle collection, consisting of 23 unisex frames, is now available in the stores of Hans Anders, Direkt Optik and eyes + more.

Circular glasses

The frames are made of REGRIND acetate. REGRIND acetate is composed of recycled, unsold and used eyeglass frames. Supplemented by unused residual material from new acetate sheets, this is completely ground up and processed into new acetate.

In addition to the quality and affordability of nexeye's products, sustainability of the production process also plays a major role and nexeye wants to contribute to keeping the world and society livable.

During their visits to factories, nexeye's category managers see a growing involvement of suppliers in the production process, that they also want to make cleaner and more sustainable. They stay in dialogue with them and search together for more sustainable solutions. Residual waste released in the production of frames is high-quality material that can be excellently reused so that it is unnecessary to use new raw materials all the time. With the premise that glasses made from recycled materials are even more beautiful, nexeye began talks with a supplier that uses residual waste and old frames to produce new plastic frames. And so the Ciircle brand and collection of 23 frames was developed.
