How do I place otoplastics in my ears?

Otoplastics are the perfect solution to protect your hearing in noisy environments. Whether you work on a construction site, go to a concert or simply want to protect your ears, proper insertion and removal of these custom-made earplugs is essential for optimal comfort and protection. In this blog, we'll take you through the process step by step. So, let's start with inserting your otoplastics safely and comfortably!

Getting Otoplastics in and out

  1. Preparation
    • Grasp the otoplasty between your index finger and thumb.
    • The left otoplasty is marked with blue text and the letter "L," while the right otoplasty has red text with the letter "R."
    • Make sure the text "Alpine" points forward.
  2. Insert
    • Place the otoplasty in your ear canal with the text facing the tragus.
    • For ear canals with a kink, it may help to use your other hand to pull the auricle away from your head.
    • Gently and gently push the otoplasty into your ear to avoid discomfort.
  3. Check
    • When properly fitted, the otoplasty fits seamlessly. This ensures optimal protection and comfort.
  4. Remove
    • Use the minigrip to remove the otoplasty.
    • If you do not have a minigrip, you can create space by making an upward motion with your index finger between the attachment muscle of the jaw and the earlobe, allowing air to pass between them.

Tips for comfortable use

  1. New otoplastics
    • New otoplastics may be stiff. Moisten them slightly to make insertion easier.
    • Give your ear canal time to get used to it by gradually building up the wearing.
  2. Mounting carry
    • Start by wearing the earplugs for an hour.
    • Then extend the gestation period to two hours and build up step by step.

With these steps and tips, you can ensure that your otoplastics are always comfortable and effective. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us at Seeh. We would be happy to help you out!
