Many employees are exposed to harmful noise levels on a daily basis. According to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, you are even obliged to offer professional hearing protection (such as otoplastics) to employees who are exposed to harmful noise levels. But what about the right to otoplastics and reimbursement?
In the context of noise exposure and prevention of hearing damage, from an exposure level of 80 dB(A) hearing protection must be made available to employees. Starting at these noise levels, both employees and employers are required to wear and make available hearing protection. The employer must ensure that this protection is actually worn. Must an employer reimburse otoplastics? The answer is yes, otoplastics must be reimbursed by an employer.

The Occupational Health and Safety Act (Arbowet) does not specifically state anything about maximum compensation for otoplastics. However, it is important to know that employers are obliged to provide a safe working environment and to provide the necessary protective equipment, such as otoplastics, if this is necessary to prevent hearing damage.
Here is a relevant quote from the Occupational Health and Safety Act:
"The employer shall ensure the safety and health of the employees on all aspects related to work and to this end shall conduct a policy aimed at the best possible working conditions."

Regarding the fees and costs for otoplastics, these are often included in the agreements and contracts between companies and suppliers such as Seeh.
