Implementation regulation

A performance arrangement is one in which employers reimburse their employees for specific versions of sunglasses with or without prescription. With us, as an ordering party, you can choose which versions of sunglasses you want to reimburse your employees for. We provide an implementation regulation that clearly states which versions are and are not reimbursed. The order form that your employees bring to the store contains this information to prevent opticians from deviating from these versions. In addition, we inform employees in advance about additional costs in case of deviation from the chosen versions, so that they can make informed choices and unexpected surprises are avoided. Our implementation scheme allows employers to control costs and provide employees with the desired sunglasses that fit their specific needs and budget.

Code of Conduct

Under our scheme, employers set a fixed amount for reimbursement of sunglasses for their employees. If an employee chooses to buy more expensive sunglasses than the agreed upon amount, the employee can be charged for the additional cost. Should an employer reimburse for sunglasses?

Please note, it is good to know that many employers reimburse the full amount of the glasses, as this falls under health and safety legislation and good employment practice. In the Netherlands, it is mandatory for employers to provide a safe and healthy workplace for their employees. If it is found that sunglasses with or without prescription can help against the complaints, the employer is obliged to reimburse the cost of the sunglasses.

Information on co-payments

If the employee has to pay a personal contribution, it does not have to be paid in the store. In this case, the receipt will always show a final amount of € 0.00. After delivery of the glasses, the employee receives an email from us with a payment link for a Mollie payment. The amount must be paid within 14 days. Thus, we offer an easy and safe way for paying the co-payment.

Are prescription or non-prescription sunglasses tax deductible?

It is always advisable to discuss the sunglasses allowance with the Tax and Customs Administration or contact your tax advisor to find out in your specific situation whether the sunglasses may be reimbursed untaxed and whether the sunglasses allowance is deductible.
